Testimonial - Dan Grunewald Versatile Training and Clinics.
About 13 years ago, Dan was showing a dark grulla horse, and he won the class. Someone approached him and asked if he gave lessons. From there his business just grew. Today at Grunewald Versatility Training and Clinics in Jefferson, Wisconsin, Dan teaches lessons, trains up to 12 horses per month, is a judge, and a nationally known clinician.
Dan has many accomplishments which include many championships on IBHA and Wisconsin Buckskin Association circuit, along with multiple state futurity and National World exhibitors in Buckskin events. In April of 2008 Dan was named the Judge of the Year by the Wisconsin State Horse Council.
In 2008 Dan entered the Midwest Mustang Challenge and placed 4th with his horse named "Trust". Over a period of 90 days, 75 trainers had to break and train a wild mustang from the hills of Nevada. This event was sponsored by the Mustang Heritage Foundation in cooperation with the United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management. Each trainer was put to the test with an in hand course, a riding course, trailer loading and unloading. The top riders were asked back for a free style competition. At the end of the competition the mustangs were auctioned off to qualified bidders. "Trust" was the second highest selling horse in the sale. She sold for $7000. Dan liked his mount so much he purchased her back during the auction, so "Trust" now has a permanent home in Dan’s training barn. "Trust" is pictured with Dan on this web page.
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (WIHA) is co-founded by Dan and is based off the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association, and will start its inaugural show season in the fall of 2008. WIHA is a high school and middle school organization devoted to developing the riding skills of today's youth. WIHA gives students the opportunity to compete as a team for their high school or middle school in horsemanship events. WIHA classes include Western, English, and Saddle Seat pattern classes, driving classes, speed classes and jumping. It is Dan's hope, like the Michigan program, WIHA will become a recognized letter sport at the high school level in the state of Wisconsin.
Dan is also involved in his community as an EMT and a 4-H horse project leader.
Client Letter!!
Suzanne Lois has been my farm insurance agent for several years. She is always available to help and is extremely knowledgeable about my farm policy. We have a great working relationship and I always refer Suzanne to my Horse Show clients.
Tammy Meyers, Mangold's Farm Account Manager, is a wonderful, friendly and outgoing customer service representative. She follows up and gets me the answer to any farm-related billing, claim or policy question that I may have.
Mangold Insurance is a company I will be with for a long time. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. One thing that I have learned in business is "surround yourself with people you want to be surrounded with" -- This is true of Mangold Insurance and I highly recommend them.
Sincerely,
Daniel Grunewald
